What the heck?

You wanna know the impact of movies in India or rather, impact of actors/actresses in India? Its evident from the way they support the cause of a jailed actor more than they did for India's Ex-President. What the heck? Are we mad? Are we out of mind? What material we are made of? What species of humans are we? Shame on us. Yes, we are mad about movies. Yes, we cannot hold our thoughts together. And finally to put it, we are one strange species of humans who always go for things which aren't worth it by any means.

We have the habit of glorifying the undeserved. Period. We are at extremes always. We either praise or swear. We either glorify or ditch. We love gossips. We believe gossips. We always have no time for good. On the contrary we have plenty for things which are of no good. We glorify actors and not freedom fighters. We glorify politicians and not politics. We are never moderate. We are completely mired in these stuff. Its difficult to get out even If one wants to. So in a nutshell, we either suck or suck hard. We kept sucking, we suck now and we shall follow the legacy forever.

Brother! you know what? This is India, it has been like that for years and it will be the same here after.

Long live India. Let Indianism take over the world. Amen.

hey hey hey hang on boss....i can see fury in your words....am afraid i have to disagree with u....if u start comparing sanjay dutt with kalam, the latter will win hands down, be it on academic terms or popularity terms....jus cos sanjay's issue echoed north thru south more than kalam's, it doesnt mean people r frenzy abt cinema alone....sanjay's arrest became hot news cos of his onw fans and cos of the people who spoke for sanjay - all popular co actors..naturally their words will hog limelight..they spoke out of pity...kalam's stature is so grt that his fans cant be so wild..and he wasnt supported by any major party ..nor can any politician cos his position in that party would become insecure.. i would like to recall one of Cho's interviews where he said 'wen i was MP, I used to support good causes in the parliament single handedly. after the session, MPs cuttin across various parties used to congratulate me sayin that I spoke something which they cant speak-the truth"..this is a similar case where everyone knows kalam deserves a second term but no one can give a stern voice since the laws dont support them to do so unless we have a general elections...

This is not a comparison between sanjay and Kalam, understand that first. This is my reaction on the way people has reacted to the whole episode. That never looked promising for a country like our's. I know political parties did not lend their support for Kalam, but then I never saw even a group of people expressing their interest in Kalam. On the contrary if you see the other issue..you have everything to see in front of your eyes. If you still feel what we did was just another thing, I beg to differ and I stand by my Opinion. We still suck. Either stop suckin or stop defendin . wat say?

Yeah... i accept ur fury..!! The Bollywood charm need n't be given so much of boosts up.. and its a real shame on r part..!!
But i couldnt agree u branding this as indianism..!!Its jus the mentality of certain sector of people over here and the projection given by the media for the people under the lime light..!!Jus wanna to add up...Its not that we ditched kalam.. He was been used as a playing card in the so called tricky game of Politics..!! We had the pride of he being r president..!! Its not a place for dignified GEMS like him...!! He has plans to do so much of our younger generation..the other way.. being.. we so gifted enough...!!He could so much now that too at his will than being in the presidential post...!!

Seems you were boiling writing these... But plainly it’s the media's hype letting this iota issue to be projected in such a big manner. It’s not like no party defended his Excellency APJ. People defended, but not to extend he was glorified when he was in rastrapathi bavan.
One thing I can't accept is branding it as whole Indianism.
fyi even Britney’s under skirt adventure for projected highly. We can’t acclaim this to be Americanism.

good to see so much happenin in this space.. @prabal, its obvious that u r not comparin sanjay n kalam...your so called indianism was conspicuous cos of the entire dutt episode...the dutt episode was conspicuous cos of the indian news networks...wat was not conspicuous was the majority of common indian people who backed kalam...that was not conspicuous cos the press made it look like one..for instance, a common man would say 'kalamm is a good person.. he deserves a second term' but cnn ibn cant telecast his interview cos it jus doesnt sell...indianism doesnt lie in the fact that we didnt support kalam...it lies in the fact that we r used to livin with such issues..if not, people like u would have started a movement for kalam long back ..n people like me would have fortified it...
